Therefore Go and Make Disciples of
All Nations. . . (Matthew 28:19)
Monday, April 23, 2012
Through prayer, financial support, and building long-term relationships, HCC actively supports several missionary families across the street and around the world. Two of our newest missionaries are the Mannings and Katie Richardson.
Brady and Kaylyn Manning
After spending six months in Kona, HI as YWAM directors and having Baby Liam in the process, the Mannings are now residing in the parsonage next to the church and will be working with YWAM and Luis Palau’s Next Generation Alliance, as staff members at The International School of Revival, designed to accommodate people who have jobs or go to school and cannot leave this area but would like YWAM style of training in discipleship, missions and evangelism.
If you would like to be a one-time or monthly supporter to the Mannings, please contact Brady or the church office. To view their latest posted blog, go to http://www.manningsinmissions.com/Mannings_In_Missions/Welcome.html
Katie Richardson
Katie is in the process of setting up an orphanage in Haiti. God has provided her with just the right place for housing a small group of children. If you would like to be a one-time or full-time supporter of Katie, please contact the church office between the hours of 10 am and 2 pm. “Eggzactly” What the Doctor Ordered!
Monday, April 9, 2012
Great food, weather, fun, fellowship! A fabulous way to leave those winter blues behind! There was much excitement as area residents joined in to help celebrate the Easter season along with Hockinson Community Church on Sat., 7th. There was face painting; animal balloons; crafts; prizes; and food; two Easter egg hunts; and a program, featuring our youth, that included puppets and singing. The message shared was that God loves each one of us (that means you!) so much that He sent His Son, Jesus, to die on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins. The good news is that He rose and lives in Heaven and is preparing a place for each one of us who accepts Him into our hearts. Definitely a good reason to “eggsplode” with joy!
“Son”shine Brightened a Rainy Work Day
Monday, April 2, 2012
No matter how soggy the ground was, spirits were not dampened as crews worked busily to prepare the church for our annual Easter egg hunt and program to be held at Hockinson Community Church on Saturday, April 7th beginning at 11:00 am. The free family event will include two separate egg hunts, face painting, balloon animals, a music/puppet show presentation, and lots of food and fun. Come on out and join us!
Science Fair Adds an Explosion of
Fun!
Friday, March 16, 2012
OK - a little exaggeration. There were no explosions…..this time, but there was a lot of fun! From yeast burps to lung capacity, students from Kathleen Baker’s various science classes proudly displayed their science projects and stood ready to explain the scientific process. The science fair was held at Hockinson Community Church on Feb. 23rd. Kathleen teaches a variety of classes to all ages and this summer will be offering some week-long workshops as well. Swweeeeet!!!
Monday, February 20, 2012
At first glance, it may look like Donavon Mattern has a sweet tooth! Take another look, and you’ll notice those are Easter eggs he’s stuffing for HCC’s annual Easter egg hunt/carnival/program. Thanks to Donavon and many other HCC worker bees, there will be close to 3,000 stuffed eggs. This free family event will include food, games, prizes, face painting, balloons, singing, and yes - an Easter egg hunt. Yup! We’re gearing up for April 7th, 11:00 to 12:30. (Note the new starting time!) For more information, follow this link: http://www.hockinsoncommunitychurch.org/outreaches/easter-outreach/
