Ladies’ Ministries
If you are a member of Hockinson Community Church, and you’re an adult of the female gender, you are an official member of the Ladies’ Ministry Council!
Our purpose is to serve and glorify Jesus and to be His hands and feet as we minister to the members of HCC, to the community, and each other. Whether it’s to pray for someone, encourage with a scripture, plan a fundraising event, organize the annual Ladies’ Retreat, fulfill the needs of our missionaries, provide food for a potluck, or prepare and deliver a meal to someone who is sick, to name a few, our goal is to not hide our light under a bushel! Come and join us so that your gifting can be used to glorify God and bring blessing to others. You will be amazed at how much you will be blessed yourself! Contact Diana Corey if you have any questions.
Meeting minutes:
Beginning 2011, we will not be holding monthly meetings unless we have a specific need to do so such as a Retreat Meeting. All ladies at HCC are part of Ladies Ministry and are always welcome to share their giftings and ideas, whether in a meeting format or just calling the office. We welcome and are blessed by your input!

“Slowing down and taking the time to invest in relationships” was a recurring theme at the Ladies Retreat held Oct. 29 - Oct. 31 at Falls Creek Retreat Center in Washington./ This wasn’t a concept that was simply talked about - all the ladies were blessed to be able to apply it during this special weekend. Speaker Debi O’Dell emphasized the importance of first focusing on our foundational relationship with Jesus Christ in order to share more satisfying relationships with others. Prayer was also heavily emphasized as a means of deepening our intimacy with God and others. Along with many scriptures, teaching centered around the book, “The Praying Life: Connecting with God in a Distracting World.” If you have any questions or would like follow-up material, please contact the church office or Debi O’Dell.
It was a special time to be together as women. A comment shared by one of the attendees was: “I was blessed by renewing old friendships and making new ones.”
